Welcome to Lincoln Terrace!
The Lincoln Terrace neighborhood in Oklahoma City is rich in history. Through the years, its residents have ranged from the famous to the infamous, from heroic to notorious. Musicians, inventors, government leaders, bankers, pastors, lawyers, physicians, educators, judges, justices, oilmen, dentists, executives, business founders, Internet moguls -- those are but a few of the roles of past and present Lincoln Terrace inhabitants. Since the early 1900s, this historic neighborhood in the shadow of the state capitol has attracted a diverse and interesting group of occupants. The architecture of the houses found in Lincoln Terrace is as varied as the people who live there. Tudor, Mediterranean, Colonial, Federal, Georgian Revival, and Prairie styles are all represented, as well as many others.
Lincoln Terrace was designated an Historic Preservation District in 1974 and many of those who live here are committed to preserving and enhancing the historic qualities of the homes that make up the neighborhood. Boundaries of Lincoln Terrace are
NE 23rd Street on the north,
NE 13th Street on the south,
Stiles Avenue on the west, and
Phillips Avenue on the east.
