Harry Adams 1950-1971
Wilburn Cartwright 1971-1972
Mr. Adams was the builder of one of the largest organizations of its kind in Oklahoma, the Adams Engineering and Blueprinting Company and the oldest engineering company in Oklahoma City. He graduated from Purdue University in 1905 and established his company in Oklahoma City in 1906. He was elected County Surveyor in 1910 and held that office for 20 years, during which time he served as County Engineer and Consulting Engineer for Oklahoma County on roads and bridges. He was involved in staking out land for the Capitol Building.
After the death of Mr. Adams, Mrs. Adams married Wilburn Cartwright who was a long-time state official serving on the Corporation Commission for many years.
