Ellis Highfill 1929-30
Moss Patterson 1930-39
Ed and Gertrude Stahl 1940-49
Mr. Highfill was a builder and contractor. Among others, he built the apartment, "Highfill Courts."
Mr. and Mrs. Patterson were owners and operators of Oklahoma Transportation Bus Line for about thirty-five years. Mid-Continent Trailways and Southwest Trailways were bought and combined to make this a large interstate bus system. They also owned the Lazy S. Ranch, 7500 acres located south of Ardmore, Oklahoma. Both Mr. and Mrs. Patterson were pilots and very interested in aviation. They owned their own plane. Mrs. Patterson was a member of Womens National Aviation Association and was national president in 1940. This group was active in helping to sponsor many airshows which were held here in Oklahoma City. Mrs. Patterson spoke of entertaining Amelia Earhart Putnam shortly before her disappearance in the Pacific on her last flight; she also told of many trips that General Jimmy Doolittle made to shows here during those years.
The Pattersons sold their house in 1940 on a trade to Mrs. Gertrude Stahl who was the widow of Ed Stahl, an oilman.
