732 N.E. 20th Street
732 has dark red clinker brick and a hipped roof. This house has a slightly Italianic air. The brick work has arches with herringbone patterned brick filling them into flat window heads. The unusual feature is a three-arched second story open gallery. The second floor section of the chimney divides into two square elements with pitched "roofed" caps.
R.O. Kendall 1928-33
Raymond Scruggs 1933-39
Dr. James T. George 1939-55
Mr. Kendall established the Kendall Wholesale Lumber Company in 1919. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Kendall's daughter, Mrs. Jack Dunning, recalls not having to use lights at night to feed her baby because of the flame of "Wild Mary Sudik," a flaming oil well in northeast Oklahoma City.
Mr. Scruggs was a vice president of the First National Bank and treasurer of the school board at one time. He was involved in a scandal when he embezzled money and was sent to prison.
Dr. George was a physician.
