717 is a white painted brick house with hipped roofs. The trim is brown with an entrance projection one story high and an interesting wrought iron railing. There is an arched porch and porte-cochere on the east. The house was built by H. Frederickson. This is a spacious house with well-appointed grounds.

This house was owned by the Dickson family for over three decades. Mr. Dickson was in real estate and oil investments. He had the Dickson Petroleum Company. Subsequently, the property came to be owned by the office of the Camp Fire Girls.
