After graduating from Vanderbilt Medical School in Nashville, Tennessee, Dr. Lain practiced in Weatherford, Oklahoma, becoming the first radiologist in western Oklahoma. He was a pioneer in the x-ray treatment of cancer. He was the first professor and chairman of the Department of Dermatology, Syphilogy, and Radiology at the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine and achieved 55 years tenure on the faculty. He was one of the founders and a member of the first board of directors of the Oklahoma Medical Research Associations. He was an accomplished amateur painter and exhibited his work in local art shows. He was elected to the Oklahoma Hall of Fame. His daughter was married to Dr. Tullos Coston, a well-known eye specialist.
John Frank was in oil and investments business.
Dr. Robert Furman was a physician who was associated with the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation. He then became Medical Director of the Eli Lilly Company in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Dr. Robert Outlaw was a psychiatrist who was, for a time, associated with the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, and was subsequently in private practice in Oklahoma City.
