This red brick mingle with hipped roofed house looks earlier than the other houses in the area. A massive porch and porte-cochere is supported by large brick columns across most of the front. The windows are in triplets, giving a good horizontal line to the rooms into which they open.

Mr. Pirtle was an early-time banker, oil man and investor. Because of his prominence in the community, his name was among those selected to be inscribed on the cornerstone of the State Capitol Building.
Mr. Stogner was an oil man and one of the primary drillers in the Chickasha oil field. His daughter married Walter Nashert, who founded the Nashert Construction Company.
Mr. Bolton founded Bolton's Hardware, which was in operation on N.E. 10th Street and was one of the most comprehensive hardware stores in the city. He owned SEB Paint Company, which was a large paint distributing company operating throughout the state. His daughter married Bryce Baggett, a local attorney who was a state senator for many years.
