612 N.E. 14th Street
This dark red brick house with high pitched roof is an English style with a main wing gable facing the street. The one-story door entrance is also gabled with half-timbered stucco. There is a one-story porch on the east.
Jacob and Anna Buhrer purchased the undeveloped property from Maud J. Fain in 1925 for $3,000.
After the death of Jacob, Anna Buhrer sold the property to Marguerite Wilson, who - in 1968 - sold the home to Milton Roe and Bertha Florence Sabin. The Sabins also owned 600 NE 14th St, having purchased that home in 1959.
In 1971, Bertha Sabin sold both properties on NE 14th St to Mark Riley, but remained a resident until her death in 1975.
The 600 NE 14th St property changed hands a number of times and was used as a rental for some or much of the time between 1975, when Riley obtained control, and 1999 when it was purchased as a primary residence. It last sold in 2013, again to be used as a primary residence.
