This large white stucco house with Spanish tiled roof in reds with some royal blues is situated on the corner of N.E. 17th Street and North Lindsay Avenue. Its property extends more than half of the block west on 17th and was beautifully landscaped with 30 to 40 foot high cedars, creating a dense wooded scene on the street side. The principal mass has a large central chimney pierced on the second story with a small narrow window balconied and bracketed in blue wrought-iron terminating in a metal hood, and the chimney is topped with three blue chimney pots. The west end of this wing slopes out in a curved buttress wall to a fence leading into the shrubbery. This fence has a gate in very fine wrought iron work surrounding two fanciful "cowboy" silhouettes. There is a one-story wing with deck over it to the west, sharing the same view seen from the deck of 612 N.E. 17th Street. The large arched living room windows extend to the floor and are surrounded by glazed Mexican tiles. The simple board shutters are pale blue. To the east of this central wing is a two story wing with a round turret at the juncture and a one story loggia in front with typical Spanish parapet treatment and a few glazed tile ornaments between the arches below. The blue wrought iron railings between the arches are very fluid-line peacocks. The entrance is under the turret. There is a chimney on the east end of this wing and the north end of this wall (facing Lindsay) is again buttressed with a curved wall ending in a garden wall. Here, the gate is flanked by two blue urns. This wall ties into an interesting two story garage building. The light fixtures and downspouts are fine imported metal work.
