This was a well-maintained red brick house with white trim and louvered shutters. A terrace across the front facade is terminated by cast stone urns on brick pilasters at the entrance walk.

Rev. Howard was the pastor of the Kelham Avenue Baptist Church and also state manager of the Liberty National Life Insurance Co.
Mr. Kesler was a salesman for Hollis Realty Co. before his retirement.
