This red brick house was a popular contractor's model often seen in the neighborhood. The partially covered porch continues the full length of the front of the house. Alterations in the past probably included removing a once continuous porch roof for the present small one with recent style wrought iron supports. On the side are French doors leading to another small porch.

Mr. Witt had a partnership in the Witt-Thompson Motor Co.

Mr. Meade was manager of the I.J. Case Threshing Co.

Mr. Price was the general manager of the Economy Co. This company specializes in reading series and language arts programs for the elementary school level. Mr. Price and his brother adapated their older sister's teaching materials and philosophies to start this internationally known company. The main office was located at N.E. 18th and Walnut.

A.L. Brougham was a lawyer.

Mr. Shriner sold surgical supplies for Caviness-Melton, Inc.
