Unique in the area because of its outstanding Italian bracketed style, this house was custom built by Mr. M.O. Spivey. It has three porches and a side porte-cochere. The windows are all grouped with a large panel and a small one on either side. This house is red brick with cast stone accents.

Mrs. Spivey headed the Spivey-McGill Co., Inc. Mr. Spivey was a pioneer business leader in the Oklahoma City area. He owned and operated one of the first furniture companies in this city.

Mrs. Dettie Pickens was the widow of Aaron Pickens, Chief Clerk for the Governor of Oklahoma.
