Our neighbor, Governor Mary Fallin is hosting Septemberfest on September 8! We might notice a lot of individuals driving thru our neighborhood making their way to the mansion! This is a great day for our neighborhood to shine! They are expecting 20,000 people. It is a free activity held from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Here is more information about the event:
Gov. Mary Fallin is inviting Oklahomans to the 16th annual Septemberfest celebration this weekend.
Sponsored by the Friends of the Mansion, Septemberfest is a celebration of all things Oklahoma including arts, children’s activities, interactive exhibits, live entertainment and storytelling. Among the attractions returning for this year are historic reenactments, agricultural activities and a wide range of Oklahoma performers. Tours of the Governor’s Mansion will be offered throughout the day for Oklahomans who want to experience this state treasure.Guests to Septemberfest are welcome to bring their own picnic lunches or to purchase food from the variety of vendors that will have booths on Philips Avenue, just west of the Mansion.
Septemberfest also includes free admission to the Oklahoma History Center. The museum will feature several activities, performances and educational diversions.
