Despite the change in dates, we had 25 enthusiastic OU students help our equally willing Beautification Committee members perform a vast clean-up on April 22 at the Big Event. A number of dead trees and bushes were removed, other trees and bushes were trimmed, beds were weeded and mulched, and debris and litter were cleared from the medians on Lindsay Ave. They look terrific. Nichols Park also was cleaned up and looks so beautiful with red and pink Knock-Out roses in full bloom. The entire neighborhood should be proud of the hard work that went into this effort, thanks to the wonderful volunteers. We know that a well-groomed neighborhood is a safer neighborhood!
Those pitching in from the LTNA were Ginny and Bill Morris, Suzi Epps, Debbie Smith, Debbie and Ted Doyals, Mike Wofford, Jen, Aaron, and Sam Snow, Don Davis, and Bill and Melodie Fulmer. Melodie (recuperating from knee surgery) still helped by driving the Sag Wagon to pass out black garbage bags and water. It was a great day!
